In Hawaii, working hard, got a sunburn, eating lots of food, the water is turquoise, my hut has a hottub, 13 hour days, did I say good food? Buffet lunch, 5 course dinner, repeat x8 (and counting). And don't even get me started on breakfast.

Mom and Dad came for the first 5 days or so and stayed in my hut with me. Dad snorkled hourly and saw turtles, manta rays and lots of fishies. Mom even snorkled too (this is impressive, trust me).

I do miss the cats though, and Corey of course. In my absence Corey has left the heat off. Very helpful.

We get back Tuesday, work Wednesday, then to Bend for Thanksgiving Thursday, and over to Far Idaho for the next weekend.

We've had a busy autumn (in case you are wondering). Corey has been working out of town in Astoria during the week, which is sad because I'm alone - but on the bright side I can go to bed at 8pm without feeling guilty. My work is super busy this time of year getting all of next Spring and Summers catalogs shot and out the door. I passed on the Mexico shoot last month - but have to go to Hawaii for a couple weeks just before Thanksgiving. It's rough.

We went to the coast last weekend and stayed at the Coopers beach house which they graciously offered. It was so nice to sleep in and read books all weekend. Corey was supposed to do homework but ended up running around on the beach most of the day. Great weekend! I will try to post photos this year. =)

This little guy is pretty cute. We're lucky to get to see him Sundays and Wednesdays each week and usually a couple times in between. He's quite happy. And squishy. And adorable.

Again, so late in posting. Every September the Swifts migrate from somewhere to another place, and stop to sleep (50,000 of them) in the Chapman Elementary school chimney. Hundreds of Portlanders show up every night to watch them swirl in for the night, and cheer them on. It's fun!

In the spirit of catching up for the last month - Corey's family all went down to Newport Beach, CA area for a week after convention. Corey and I joined in the for the weekend - and here we are all heading over to Catalina Island. It was beautiful, and relaxing to get out of town!!

I know I say this a lot, but we are so lucky to have so many friends near by. One particular recent Tuesday we met up on Mt. Tabor (which is a short walk up the hill from our house) just to hang out and watch Trek. Again, we are so lucky!

We had a fun shoot up the mountain in August. We rented the Silcox Hut and staged and shot there for a couple days. It was beautiful and the food buffets were amazing!
